Game Rules

iOS Cards 15 is based on the classic "15" card game. The objective is to avoid being the first player to reach the target score (default: 15 points). Players take turns playing cards, and the player who wins each trick receives points based on the cards played. The game continues until one player reaches or exceeds the target score, and the player with the lowest score wins.

For detailed game rules and strategies, refer to the in-app Game Rules view accessible from the main menu.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need to sign in to Game Center to play?

A: No, Game Center is completely optional. You can play the full game without signing in. Game Center only adds leaderboard and achievement features.

Q: Can I play offline?

A: Yes! The game works completely offline. You only need an internet connection if you want to view Game Center leaderboards.

Q: How do I reset my statistics?

A: Currently, statistics are stored locally on your device. To reset statistics, you would need to delete and reinstall the app. We may add a reset option in a future update.

Q: Why aren't my scores showing on the leaderboard?

A: Leaderboards only track "standard" games (starting score of 15). If you play with a custom starting score, those games won't appear on Game Center leaderboards but will still be tracked in your local statistics.

Q: Can I play with friends online?

A: Currently, iOS Cards 15 supports local play with AI opponents. Online multiplayer with friends is not yet available but may be added in future updates.

Q: How do I change the difficulty?

A: You can select the AI difficulty when starting a new game. The app will remember your last selected difficulty for convenience.

Q: What's the difference between difficulty levels?

A: AI opponents use different strategies and decision-making algorithms at each difficulty level. Expert AI uses advanced card memory and pattern recognition to make optimal plays.

Q: Can I sync my statistics across devices?

A: Currently, statistics are stored locally on each device. Cross-device sync is not available, but may be added in future updates.

Troubleshooting

If you're experiencing issues with iOS Cards 15, try these solutions:

  • App Won't Launch: Ensure your device is running iOS 15.0 or later. Try restarting your device and reopening the app.
  • Game Center Not Working: Check that you're signed in to Game Center in iOS Settings. Ensure you have an internet connection if viewing leaderboards.
  • Leaderboard Errors: If leaderboards show errors, this may be because leaderboards haven't been created in App Store Connect yet. This is normal for new apps and doesn't affect gameplay.
  • Statistics Not Updating: Statistics are saved after each completed game. If statistics seem incorrect, try completing another game to refresh the data.
  • Performance Issues: Close other apps and restart your device if the app is running slowly. Ensure you have sufficient storage space available.
  • Settings Not Saving: Check that you have sufficient storage space. Settings are saved to UserDefaults, which requires available storage.
